The Love Story
A note from our Founder
Aspen Angels Foundation began with one small crystal angel placed in my hands by a dear friend at a time when I needed it most. In July 2025, at age 42, I found myself in a hospital bed hearing the words stage 4 lung cancer from a team of doctors. During the time around this diagnosis, I was held in extraordinary ways - by friends, by family, by love and by faith.
I held my small crystal angel during moments that required courage - blood draws, scans, discussions with doctors. Right after I received that first angel, two more crystal angels found their way into my hands. It felt like a message. Then two more. Five crystal angels - a thread I was meant to follow.
During the hardest season of my life, these angels were gifted to me with love and intention. These were not just beautiful crystals. They were reminders. Symbols. Touchstones of hope when the ground was unsteady beneath me. And somewhere along my path of healing, while holding those angels in my hands, something opened in me. I realized that love given freely can change everything. Perhaps that kind of love could even change the whole world.
That is when my inspiration for Angel Mail came - a simple idea that every person who needs a symbol of hope and support should be able to receive an angel to hold. I envisioned a network of love where angels could be sent freely, accompanied by prayer cards and words of encouragement, flowing into hands that need comfort.
Aspen, Colorado is the home of our Foundation. But Aspen holds a deeper meaning than just a location. A grove of Aspen trees is one living organism, connected by a single root system beneath the earth. Each tree you see above the ground is just one expression of a thriving foundation. When one tree is weak, the others send resources through the root network to support and sustain it.
This is the heart of Aspen Angels Foundation - from Aspen roots, love travels far.
Like a grove of Aspen trees, we are connected beneath the surface - through love, generosity, and the quiet ways we show up for one another. One act of love strengthens the whole.

Aspen Angels Foundation is my act of devotion to My Angels who carried me in the most difficult moments of my life. Those who sat beside my bed, prayed for me, and held my hands. This Foundation is my act of devotion to every person facing cancer and every loved one standing beside them.
